Free from contraints

I wonder if something special happens when we operate in the unknown if that is where great things are born out of. Do we lose all inhibitions, do we shed all self-deprecating personal barriers? Truly we are most dynamic and innovative when we are free from constraints – constraints because of what we know.

What is holding you back?

For a poetic perspective, I highly recommend The Self Slaved, by Patrick Kavanaugh. Here are the first few lines:

Me I will throw away.
Me sufficient for the day
The sticky self that clings
Adhesions on the wings
To love and adventure,
To go on the grand tour
A man must be free
From self-necessity
